Realme India and Europe CEO Madhav Sheth recently said the company will launch the Realme 8s in India.
Main features
Realme 8s may be the first phone with Dimensity 810 SoC.
Realme’s Madhav Sheth recently confirmed the Realme 8s.
Realme has not said when it will launch the Realme 8s.
Realme is now teasing that it will launch the world’s first smartphone with the MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor. MediaTek, one of the leading chipmakers, recently announced the Dimensity 810 as its next mid-range 5G chipset and Realme is calling dibs on it. Now, Realme is not saying what phone it is going to be, but in all probability, it will be the Realme 8s that Madhav Sheth, Realme India and Europe CEO, recently confirmed.
In a post on Twitter, Sheth wrote: “Do you want #realme to be the first to bring MediaTek Dimensity 810 Processor in the world?” This was in response to a tweet from MediaTek announcing the Dimensity 810 SoC. It would not be a surprise if Realme becomes the first brand to bring a Dimensity 810-powered phone, though. That is because Realme has had such examples before where its close partnership with MediaTek has materialised into such phones.
The reason why Realme 8s is supposed to be the Dimensity 810-powered phone is that it was recently confirmed. In the latest episode of the AskMadhav YouTube series, Sheth confirmed that Realme will soon launch the Realme 8s and Realme 8i smartphones in India, but he never talked about the launch timelines. Now, since the Realme’s number series phones with an ‘i’ at the end have always been the lowest-end models, it is safe to assume the Dimensity 810 is not coming to the Realme 8i. That leaves the Realme 8s, which should ideally mean a ‘special’ version of the Realme 8.

Samsung is set to launch its next-generation foldable smartphones at its Galaxy Unpacked event. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 are expected to be unveiled at the virtual event scheduled to kick off at 7:30 pm IST today, August 11. Not only will the two foldable phones come with upgrades over their predecessors but are also expected to be priced lower. However, it appears that one of Samsung’s main competitors OnePlus was waiting for the moment to take a swipe at the South Korean tech giant.
On Tuesday, OnePlus tweeted a video where it teased a new foldable phone, much on the lines of what Samsung is planning to launch tonight. However, a closer look at the video showed that they appeared to be two OnePlus 9 Pro handsets, placed within what seems like LG’s Dual Screen case. There was one major giveaway, though, making it obvious that it was only a cheeky dig at Samsung.
The 16-second video concluded with “8.11.21,” the date of the Galaxy Unpacked event. The caption to the video read: “8.11 10am ET.” This is the date and time for Samsung’s event.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 series is expected to be unveiled at the company’s August 11 Galaxy Unpacked event
Samsung Exynos W920 SoC is based on 5nm architecture The new SoC will be present in the upcoming Galaxy Smartwatch models Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 series is expected on August 11 Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Series to Be Powered by New Exynos W920 SoC With Embedded 4G LTE Modem
Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 series will be powered by an Exynos W920 SoC, which is Samsung’s latest chipset for its next-generation of wearables. The South Korean tech giant just announced the new SoC and says it offers “high performance, efficiency, and LTE connectivity, packed in the industry’s smallest form factor”. Samsung also claims it is the first SoC to be built with a 5nm extreme ultra-violet (EUV) process node. The Exynos W920 SoC supports LPDDR4 RAM and embedded multimedia card (eMMC) storage.
The Exynos W920 from Samsung is a dual-core SoC with two Arm Cortex-A55 cores paired with an Arm Mali-G68 GPU. It also has a dedicated low-power display processor, the Cortex-M55, to enable Always-on Display (AoD) with a lower power consumption compared to the previous generation Exynos SoC. The Exynos W920 is said to improve the performance by around 20 percent in terms of CPU and deliver ten times better graphics performance. The 5nm chipset will also offer “faster application launches and more interactive eye-catching 3D graphical user interface (GUI).” It supports a maximum resolution of 960×540 pixels. The chipset also has Fan-Out Panel Level Packaging (FO-PLP).
Thanks to its System-in-Package-embedded Package on Package (SiP-ePoP) configuration, it incorporates power management IC (PMIC), LPDDR4 RAM, and embedded multimedia card (eMMC) storage in the same package. Exynos W920 comes with an embedded 4G LTE Cat.4 modem and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) L1 that allows it to track speed, distance, and elevation during outdoor activities.
